News BHP Corporate Finance attends Translink 50th anniversary celebrations
Earlier this month, our team joined 150 partners and colleagues, along with their families, from across the Translink Corporate Finance global group in Mallorca for a 50th anniversary celebration.
BHP has been a member of Translink since 2019, which gives our team access to a breadth of expertise across 35 countries and an enhanced ability to complete deals worldwide. With a rich history of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, Translink uses its sector expertise and deep local market insights to help our team navigate what can often be a complex process.
Director at BHP Corporate Finance Matt Scott said: “We had an incredible few days in Mallorca with Translink Corporate Finance colleagues from across the globe, discussing international M&A and celebrating 50 years of Translink.
“BHP joined Translink three years ago and since then it’s been a game changer, allowing us to significantly enhance our cross-border M&A capabilities. I’d like to thank everyone at Translink for their close collaboration and harmonious desire to get the deal done, benefitting our clients globally.”
Corporate Finance Assistant Manager Will Sykes also attended the event. He said: “It was great to catch up with our international colleagues to discuss opportunities, market trends and build stronger relationships. It was also a pleasure to attend the Analyst Academy where we benefited from a day of insightful lectures and workshops held by Professor Albert Fernandez from the IESE Business School.”
Tero Nummenpää, Chairman of the Board at Translink International, said: “Against the beautiful backdrop of Mallorca, we welcomed colleagues from as far as Argentina, Brazil and South Africa. Translink’s most valuable asset is our talented and professional people, and it was fantastic to see the warm spirit and close personal relationships across the group. These close connections enable us to communicate openly and help us exceed our clients’ expectations time and time again.
“Translink’s country offices aren’t just flags on a map – we’re a connected, global group of experts contributing to our clients’ successes since 1972 and into the future. We are truly excited about the next 50 years for Translink and continuing to top charts of M&A league tables in numerous markets.”
The event was a huge success, and we look forward to collaborating on future deals and developing our partnership further in the months ahead.
