Fuelling growth
Based in Harrogate, CNG supplies natural gas to 20,000 SMEs throughout the UK in sectors including leisure, retail, hospitality and residential care. In 2014, the company achieved turnover of £200m and was ranked 94 in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 with average annual growth of 47.8% over the past three years.
The new facilities will permit the continued expansion of the core CNG business as well as the diversification into the electricity supply market. This follows on from the recent relocation to a new head office facility in preparation for this continued growth.
Led by Hamish Morrison and Matt Scott, BHP Corporate Finance introduced CNG to selected funders and advised the company throughout the fundraising.
Hamish Morrison commented “CNG’s exceptional management team and award winning customer-centric culture have established it as one of the region’s leading businesses. The new facilities coupled with the recent investment in new premises mean that the company is well positioned to continue to capitalise on future growth opportunities.”
Jacqui Hall, managing director of CNG Ltd said: “BHP Corporate Finance has played a key role in what is an exciting and fundamental period in CNG’s growth. We sought to work with partners who were able to deliver on our requirements, while providing the same high level service we as a company deliver and in BHP we found that. This development cements our ability to create the infrastructure we need to support our continued expansion.”
